Sophie

I breathe a memory thread in.

A girl with orange hair and white skin
slipped foil secrets into my ears,
She dropped her little pills and spilled herself
like paper snowflakes into my eyes.

Her smiles ran in curly streams
Through injured heart, hands, and hairs,
Our laughter floated like feather-pillow fights
or clumps of cloud.

She deleted my freckles and fingers.

A girl with straight hair and pungent perfume
caught my tears in plastic bags to build an ocean,
She shared my seconds like jars of gold
While I wrinkled hers like apricots.

Her voice rescued me with butterfly nets
chasing dark wings outdoors,
Truth was all she breathed
into my flat lungs and fat skin.

I kissed her mouth and tasted her heart.

A girl with glittered eyes and lovely lips
splashed sunshine into my soul,
She could be a raindrop or a rainbow
with a jug of gold in her chest.

Her hand held mine on paths and streets
blocking seperation's greasy sting,
We used to watch the moon rotate
with stripped eyes and striped socks.

I breathe in vibrancy.

I miss her too much.
